GETTING TATTOOED

I am currently tattooing Wednesday-Saturday from 11am-5pm.

My hourly rate is $175.

I am not able to accept walk-ins, and work by appointment only.

  • The minimum is $175 for any tattoos that take less than an hour.
  • I require a non-refundable $100 deposit when scheduling a tattoo appointment.
  • I ask that clients arrive at the time of their scheduled appointment, I typically cannot be ready early as my time in the studio is limited.
  • Please come alone to your appointment when possible. It is a lot less stressful to me personally to be able to work with a client one on one.
  • I do not send drawings out ahead of time but will have a sketch ready for you when you arrive for your appointment. I always take time to go over the design with each client and am willing to make whatever adjustments are needed.
  • You must be 18 or older with a government issued photo ID in order to get tattooed.
  • I typically cap tattoo sessions off at 4-5 hours when working on larger pieces, not including the additional time required for design review/stenciling/bandaging, etc.
  • I always provide full aftercare instructions after a tattoo. I use Recovery Derm Shield for bandaging and recommend either Hustle Butter or Mad Rabbit Soothing Gel for aftercare. You can download full aftercare instructions here as well.

DEPOSIT POLICY

All clients are required to put down a non-refundable $100 deposit when scheduling a tattoo appointment.

The deposit will be honored towards the total cost of the scheduled tattoo. If your tattoo requires multiple sessions, it is deducted from the cost of the final session.

Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferable to a new appointment, if sufficient notice has been given.

The following circumstances may result in your deposit being forfeit:

  • You do not show up for your scheduled appointment at the agreed upon date and time.
  • Cancelling or rescheduling an appointment less than 48 hours prior to scheduled appointment.
  • Changes in the design/concept of the tattoo after I have already begun drawing/preparing for your appointment. Please reach out to me as soon as possible to discuss any changes to the tattoo to avoid losing your deposit. I may require an additional deposit to cover my additional drawing time.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE TO GET TATTOOED?  It is ideal to eat a good meal before your appointment. Please make a point to be well hydrated and avoid drinking alcohol in the days leading up to your appointment. It also helps to moisturize and gently exfoliate your skin leading up to the tattoo. Feel free to bring in snacks and drinks of your choice. The studio always has water and snacks as well.

Dress appropriately! It is important that you are comfortable, and that I am able to access the area I will be tattooing. Please reach out to your me directly if you have any questions.

I WANT A TATTOO BUT I’M ON A LIMITED BUDGET. HOW DO YOU DETERMINE PRICING? If you have a specific budget in mind for your tattoo, please let me know ahead of time. I always do my best to provide an estimate on cost/number of sessions before starting your tattoo. I charge $175 per hour and have a 1-hour minimum charge.

DO I NEED A CONSULTATION? Sometimes, yes. The best way to go about setting up a tattoo appointment is to complete the booking request form. Most booking is done online or over the phone, so if you prefer an in-person consultation, please note that on the form.

CAN YOU TATTOO OVER SCARRING? Most likely, yes! It depends on the severity and maturity of the scar. This is determined on a case-by-case basis. In general, a scar should be at least one year old and have healed down to your skin tone. If you are submitting a booking request, please include a photo of the scarring you would like to cover if you are comfortable doing so.

DO YOU DO COVER UPS? Yes, when possible. There are limits to what can and cannot be covered, and by what. I need to see the existing tattoo, along with your ideas for what you would like for the cover up in order to determine if the tattoo is able to be covered.

TATTOO AFTERCARE

REMOVING THE BANDAGE & INITIAL CARE

  • Immediately after your tattoo, you will be bandaged with Recovery Derm Shield. It is a latex free, transparent adhesive bandage. This bandage reduces the risk of scarring and scabbing, while preventing exposure to bacteria, dirt, and abrasion. Derm Shield is waterproof, but permeable to allow skin perspiration.
  • Between 8-24 hours after the tattoo procedure, remove the bandage.
    • It is normal for blood and fluids to collect under the bandage.
    • It helps to remove it in the shower, especially if a large amount of fluid has accumulated. Always wash your hands before touching your tattoo for any reason.
    • Gently peel the Derm Shield by pulling it slowly from the edge back over itself. Do not rip or tear the bandage off aggressively.
  • Immediately following removal of the bandage, wash your tattoo gently with antibacterial soap and  water. Be sure that any fluid that has accumulated on your tattoo has been washed off completely.
  • Pat your tattoo dry with a clean paper towel. Do not use anything abrasive or exfoliating while washing or drying your tattoo until after it has healed completely.
  • Apply a thin even layer of aftercare cream. I recommend Hustle Butter, Mad Rabbit, or Aquaphor.
  • Do not rewrap or cover your tattoo again after removing the initial bandage. Wear loose fitting clothing over the tattoo when possible.

GENERAL AFTERCARE

  • Always wash your hands before washing or applying aftercare to your tattoo.
  • Wash your tattoo 2-4 times per day using a mild antibacterial soap and water. I recommend Dial Gold. Pat your tattoo dry. Follow up each wash with aftercare cream.
  • Apply a thin layer of your preferred aftercare cream 3- 4 times a day, especially after cleaning your tattoo. Do not leave excess cream on your tattoo. Carefully massage the ointment into your tattoo and wipe away the excess.
  • After the first 3-4 days, switch to an unscented, healing lotion. I recommend Eucerin Intensive Repair Lotion. You may use lotion as needed.
  • Stay out of sunlight and tanning booths until the tattoo is healed completely. (14 days minimum).
  • Do not apply sunscreen on your tattoo until it has healed completely.
  • Do not soak or submerge your tattoo for prolonged periods of time; no bathing/soaking or swimming, etc, until your tattoo is healed completely. Showers are fine. Always dry your tattoo carefully by patting it with a clean towel or paper towel.
  • Do not rub, pick or scratch the treated area while it is healing. Avoid touching your healing tattoo unless to clean it or to apply aftercare. Loss of pigment and/or infection could occur.
  • Your tattoo should heal in approximately 2 weeks. Consult a physician if any signs or symptoms of infection develop. Following the above instructions carefully can help lower the risk of infection.
